Big Deals in Big TVs

You can't always be on the road. Sometimes you just want to get ensconced in your Snuggie and watch a good movie, which is why we review and test TVs, too. For this Memorial Day, Hisense has some great bargains—and some excellent deals ahead of tariff season.

Hisense U8

One our favorites is the Hisense U8QG, a set that delivers faithful colors, 4K resolution, and full-array local dimming for better contrast—all now at a very reasonable price. The Hisense U8 set uses micro-LED backlighting (meaning there are lot of individual lights behind the LCD display) and a quantum dot layer to maintain a rich color palette. The smart TV also uses Google TV's software and interface, so you get access to all the latest streaming services. And the 55-inch set we tested has the latest NextGen TV receiver for cord cutters using antennas for over-the-air high-res broadcasts.

The 55-inch Hisense U8QG was just under $1,500 but is now priced at just $999 for the holiday. If you're looking for something bigger, the H8QG lines goes all the way up to 100 inches.
